Christopher Kane - Fashion Designer

After donating one of his stunning artworks to help raise funds for A Space Between at the Art for Charity Collective auction in March 2021 - and coming in to support the cause with such generosity of heart - we are impossibly grateful and proud to have Christopher Kane come on board as Ambassador. A creative chameleon - Fashion Designer // Creative Director and Founder of Christopher Kane // and of More Joy // and a Painter - his words about art resonate so fully with our core values:

“Painting during lockdown replaced the void of making collections. It became a way to escape my own mind - no rules, deadlines, or pressures. The paintings are sticky, messy and the outcome always uncertain, I think that’s why I love it so much. Covid was tough on everyone’s mental health. It felt really like, ‘Let me just paint, let me just see where it goes.’ With painting I had a purpose to get up and do something. It’s so visceral. You learn to draw before you read and write. It comes so naturally to us all, it’s just we don’t let it come out, this really primitive thing that’s there in every one of us.”
